On this edition of the Word Balloon podcast, we sit down with artist Art Baltazar, who's Tiny Titans has proved to be an all ages hit for DC Comics. You'll hear about what's in store for the Titans, including Art's gentile satiric take on the current events of the DCU. Darkseid is taking over the Titans school, and detention will never be the same. We discuss Art and his co-writer Franco Aureliani's writing and art process, from their brainstorm sessions, to the fully produced page. We also talk about their contribution to this week's DC Holiday Special , a Nightwing-Robin story, with art from Tim Levins. apologies folks, but after what was a hugely busy Nov at my day gig, I got a nasty infection last Thrusday, that threw me into the hospital. i'm generally fine, and the infection has almost cleared enough for them to send me home fri or sat. i have several fine current talks which were planned for early Dec release, and they will be out starting at some point this comming week, if all goes to plan. thanks for listening, and being patient, of a different kind. j

The acclaimed graphic album “Batman: Black & White” debuts Monday, as a Warmer Premiere Motion Comics series. Available exclusively on iTunes, “Batman: Black and White” Motion Comics features 10 stories created by comic book legends that include Dave Gibbons, Ted McKeever, Paul Levitz and today's Word Balloon guest Alex Ross, who with writer Paul Dini created one of the classic joker stories, Case Study..
